Battle for the swing is a famous map by JonesReal. It is in Chaz's Picks and was later put within the Community Picks. It is currently the highest rated map created on the original Bonk.io.
Map's Success[]
Sometime at or shortly before October 7th, 2016, the map was published onto the site. Following it's initial release the map performed considerably well, and was quickly added onto Chaz's Picks.
This is currently the earliest known image of the map battle for the swing seen within the Level Select, on October 7th, 2016. It shows the map dominating in a hot list section closer to the newest option, showing that the map was likely under a day old when it was taken. At the time, the map still quickly approaching 1k total votes.
As a result of being featured on Chaz's Picks, the map started to rapidly grow. In just over a week, it had over 8k up-votes for it. At this point, the map was rated as the 14th highest rated map within Bonk.io.
The map continued to climb up to around 5th on the top rated section by the beginning of 2017.
Over the next several months, the map continued to pass it's way up the list, until being directly below the map duck and cover, another map by JonesReal which was the highest rated map on Bonk.io at the time.
This was until early-mid 2018 where it overtook the map to be the highest rated map on the game.
Gameplay[]
It consists of a 'floor' block that slowly sinks, and a set of two platforms that function as a swing, which are attached to a knob off the top off the screen. The swing rotates around the knob like a pendulum when hit.
If you get into the swing, you can't get out unless someone else knocks you out or gets in on top of you, pushing you out. There is also the alternative when inside the swing, with enough momentum and heaviness, a player can force themselves out of the swing. Once the floor disappears, the only safe place is the swing.
The main premise of the map is to have sole control of the swing once the floor platform sinks below the map.

As a result of the map's continued success, a community is present surrounding the map. This includes members such as Thrudd , a well-regarded player of the map.
Likewise to other maps with a considerable community surrounding it, it is fairly common to find Custom Rooms playing solely this map.
