The Flash-based Bonk.io was a game that was first released on April 6th, 2016 by Chaz, and remained publicly accessible until January 12th, 2021 when Adobe began blocking the launching of Flash Player content.
It was Flash-run multiplayer physics game that was hosted on multiplayer.gg.
Completed Work on a Recreation[]
Due to it running on Flash, the game has been replaced by the HTML5-based Bonk.io, being a recreation of the original game. The original, Flash-based Bonk.io is no longer possible to use without the use of non-Flash extensions made by third-parties as of the 12th of January 2021.
Development[]
The development of the Flash-based Bonk.io being able to divide the development of the game three main, though unofficial sections as shown in the image below.
Early Stages[]
The first of these stages, referred here as the "Early Stages", was the initial development following the release of the game in April 2016 and continued until the addition of Accounts in early June 2016. At the time, the structure of the game itself and features were directly worked upon near-constantly, where it was structured in such a way to only be used for testing rather than serious gameplay.

Middle Stages[]
The second of these stages, referred here as the "Middle Stages", was the further development and refinement following the addition of Accounts in June 2016, until Adobe's announcement of the end of support for Flash Player after 2020. Features were still being added regularly though the game was beginning to reach more polishing and refinement rather than experimental features as this continued. Several modes were tested during this time period, though ended up all being removed eventually. By this time, all of the modes that ended up continuing to the final version of the Flash-based Bonk.io had been completed to their completed state.
This is also when Bonk.io experienced a significant amount of growth in terms of player counts during the latter part of 2016.

Later Stages[]
Caused by Adobe's announcement of the closure of Flash after 2020 in June of 2017, Chaz in large part stopped adding new features and updates became far apart from each other within the Flash-based Bonk.io, in order to learn how to code in different formats, to eventually create and finish the HTML5-based Bonk.io by then. The final gamemodes included Bonk, Volleyball, and Football, as seen below.
