Below are the fundamental Community Guidelines for this wiki. All community members should strive to abide by them, as far as is reasonably practicable. Note: Blocking Guidelines mostly affect the administrators/moderators, however, all members should know them.
Notice something that doesn't seem right? Or do you just have a question? Contact Fandom staff or an administrator of the wiki.
Article Guidelines
- All pages on this Wiki should be directed affiliated or associated with Bonk.io. The only exceptions are with the community and the organization of the Wiki.
- All encyclopedic pages on this Wiki must be factual, with solid evidence, and they must be informational. If it is a research page, this has some leniency as long as the page is well-supported by reasoning and/or data.
- If a user wants to create an page, it is recommended that they contact staff if they have questions. Note that the page may be deleted by staff if it is not found to be notable or fails to meet other Article Guidelines.
- Any discrimination based on race, sex, religion, etc. will be met with severe punishment decided by administrators.
- All articles must contain proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Articles should contain as much relevant information as possible, without containing unnecessary information. As a general rule, maps or player pages should have a few paragraphs of information, at a minimum.
- Do not create a page that links to an external site unless there is a practical purpose to have it added; external advertising is not allowed.
- All articles should be from a third-person omnipotent point of view, except if it is player-written guide, an educational article, or otherwise impractical for this rule.
- Users may not create articles about themselves or their own maps. However, they may edit existing articles that concern themselves or their maps.
- Any articles containing child pornography, reference, or links to extremist groups such as Al-Qaeda, the Ku Klux Klan, Proud Boys, etc. will result in an immediate permanent ban and report to FANDOM.
Discussion Guidelines
- Be nice and treat people with respect. Keep discussions civil and be open-minded about differing opinions.
- Threads and posts that solicit upvotes or are merely advertisements will be deleted.
- Off-topic conversations will be deleted, the exception is with a user's message wall though keep it at a minimum.
- Impersonation of other users or famous people will not be tolerated. If you have been banned and return to a new account, your posts will be deleted and your new account(s) will be blocked.
- Spamming, trolling, or vandalizing of any kind will be deleted and will lead to your account being blocked.
[Article Guidelines still apply in all Discussions, when applicable, with the same consequences present]
Community and Staff Guidelines
- The community is the centre of the wiki, and all executive decisions shall come from both the Staff Team and the Community itself; no staff member has complete control nor does any board have complete control over the Wiki itself.
- All blocks regarding a user are overseen by administrators, however, the blocking admin has the most say in the situation, and it is at their discretion.
- If a moderator or administrator is to be blocked, the staff team will investigate and decide, with possible community input, depending on the situation.
- Bureaucrats, administrators, and moderators are custodians/counsellors of the wiki, not its rulers or bosses. They are to help guide users and stop vandalism of the wiki, not rule it.
- Moderators can have their role revoked by the administrators/bureaucrats of the Wiki for the following but not limited to: bad content creation, inactivity, violation of the community guidelines, or violation of FANDOM's Terms of Service. This may be appealed, but the administrators reserve the right to remove moderators.
Blocking Guidelines
A user may be blocked for violation of FANDOM's Terms of Service or the Wiki's community guidelines. Users can attempt to appeal their block, but they are not guaranteed a shortened block, commute, or full pardon. Administrators work closely together, but getting an outside opinion can help.
1st Offence:
A warning will be given in nearly every scenario. Whether that be spam, vandalism, etc. A warning will be noted by staff.
2nd Offence:
A short block will be given to the user after the warning. This will last from 1 day to a week. Although this is on the block log, most users that turn around after this point have a good future.
3rd Offence:
A block of moderate length. This will last from a week to a couple of months. This is after three offenses or a serious first offence such as posting pornographic or gory images/mass vandalism.
4th Offence:
Long-term to permanent block. This will last anywhere from a few months to an indefinite amount of time. This is at the administrator's discretion.
Appeal Guidelines
A user may attempt to appeal their block, and there are guidelines they must follow to attempt it.
Firstly, should use the appeal form, which is sent to the administrators of the Wiki, where they can review it. They can also speak to them in a neutral place, like Community Central, or Discord. A user should convince them of why they will not repeat the offene or why it was unfair.
Possible Results of an Appeal
Appeal denied: If your appeal was denied, inquiry why it was denied. What a couple more weeks to resubmit, but don't spam it. Make sure the admins have time.
Block shortened: Your block was shortened; once you rejoin, you will be on a probation period for a while, where your actions will carry more severe punishments, and if blocked again, you will have virtually no chance of editing again.
Appeal accepted: Your block was commuted; you will be on a probation period for a while, where your actions will carry more severe punishments, and if blocked again, you will have virtually no chance of editing again.
Pardoned: If you are pardoned, then that means the administrators made an error, and you did not commit the offence or deserve the term. This means your block will not count against you in applications or cases. This is very rare, but it can happen.
