Duck and Cover (often abbreviated as "DAC") is a famous map made by JonesReal, and was featured Chaz's Picks, and is currently featured within the Community Picks. It is JonesReal's sequel to hit by bus.

Rise to Fame

The map was originally created sometime in late June to early August of 2016, where it gained a high amount of up-votes at the time, until it was selected by Chaz to be within Chaz's Picks. Following it's addition into Chaz's Picks, the map began to rapidly grow compared to other maps, on top of the growing boost from Bonk.io's growing popularity.

This is an image of the map moving up to be the highest rated within the list, with it's likes to have grown by a factor of x4 within 2 weeks. This image was taken on September 12th, 2016.

The map continued to grow rapidly as the highest rated map on Bonk.io at the time, until the map battle for the swing surpassed it in early-mid 2018, when it was at about 325k upvotes. The map has continued to grow to today, where it has doubled that amount.

Gameplay

It involves a rectangle rotating quickly on an extremely long axis, bouncing between two objects off the right and left side of the map. At regular intervals, it comes onto the screen, acting as a sweeper, that can quickly knock players off the map.

There is a significant community surrounding Duck and Dover, where some focus on becoming pros at Duck and Cover, yet others have mixed opinions on it. Some say it does not require as much skill and is more luck-based than DEATH or other maps, though such a statement and opinion is typically garnished by those who do not aim to get good at it.
