Purpetuity, also known as purp, is an American bonk.io player highly known for their proficient flats gameplay, as well as their moderate toxicity and long grinding. He is often hosting "spec only" lobbies for hours on end playing against any classic pro they encounter.
Purpetuity started playing bonk in January 2023 after being scouted in a volleyball lobby by 5CR34M. Subsequently, he was introduced to the competitive community of bonk.io where he met AMightyDuck and Neuth, two extremely skilled players who played a pivotal role in propelling his skill. Through countless defeat from many skilled players, purp was able to adapt and achieve a stronger understanding of the game, correcting his mistakes and refining his abilities. This led him to win multiple cash prize tournaments and establish a reputation for himself in the community.
In the present day, purpetuity actively participates in competitive tournaments and continuously improves his skills in 1v1 lobbies.
Bonk Madness Tournament[]
During the summer of 2024, the Bonk Madness Tournament, a funded competitive classic tournament hosted by wizardlypig, brought together the most skilled players of all time (Jabitha_, Fynn231, Neuth, Revolutionist, raspy667, etc}. With a total cash prize of $800, this tournament brought in a lot of talent and hype to the community. To train for this, Purpetuity dedicated 172 practice lobbies and approximately 258 hours of grinding classic 1v1s from June to September (over 2 hours a day for 4 months straight). This helped purpetuity breeze through the tourney till the finals, conceding a maximum of one point each full game.
And on September 8th, 2024, the final match to the left was broadcasted on Twitch to 40 concurrent viewers, where purp went on to win 4-3 to nanoFlowcell. This achievement holds purpetuity at the current #1 rank in classic.
