Volleyball within the original Bonk.io.
Volleyball is a mode that was added within the former Flash-based Bonk.io on April 14th, 2016. The mode has not brought over to the HTML5-based Bonk.io at this time.
As a result of its simplicity and close design to Deathball, a map which caused a major copy trend around itself, many players created maps based off the former mode, making it popular branch-off of the Deathball trend in early 2021.
Objective[]
The goal and skills used are similar to that of volleyball in real life. The objective of the mode is to bump the white ball that spawns between the two team zones, and can move freely between each side.
Once it is one's opponent's side, the goal is for the ball to impact the bottom floor of the map, for a point to be draw for the opposite side's team.
To prevent the ball from impacting the bottom on a team's side, teamwork is often required between teammates to bring the ball well above the floor, and to push it towards the other team's side.
Features[]

This is an image of Volleyball mode from a save taken in April 2016, after the first alterations to the mode since the release. At the time, players were much bigger than the ball which moved with speed when bumped. The ball also stayed in place over the centre of the left (blue team's) side of the map, and was to be knocked by the blue team over to the red team in order to start the match. There was also small bumper at the bottom of the line between the two team's boxes. Lastly, players could hover partially over the dividing line, as it only prevented the centre of the player to pass over, differing from the rest of either team's box.
(Based on the completed version of the mode)
- White volleyball in the center of the screen.
- A form of net, or line which cannot be crossed down the middle and around the screen. However, players can spawn outside of this area, if too many are within a single team. In this case, the player is trapped outside of the enclosures.
- A points system.
- Two teams both spawning of different sides, where the world size is set to massive.
The mode features unique physics and allows users to move faster and have better control than the Football and Bonk modes.
